** Important Building Updates within the Village of Lawrence **

1)      CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORS

A new state mandated law, known as Amanda’s Law, has gone into effect February 22, 2010.  It requires new and existing dwellings to have a carbon monoxide detector installed in all residences.  There is a difference in requirements between new and existing structures.

2)      HOUSE NUMBERS

All house numbers must be in a location which is clearly visible to the public and especially to emergency responders.

3)      TENT APPLICATIONS

All tent applications must be filed a minimum of two weeks prior to the event or date of use.  Include with application, tent size, a floor plan with seating diagrams/layout, and location & swing of exits.
